I think you're best letting her chose her own ring, it's such an expensive thing and she'll have it for the rest of her life, imagine if you got the wrong thing and she hated it!

congratulations John!
Brian and I chose my ring back in March, and he wanted to wait for the "perfect moment" ro propose.
He took me back to my hometown (St Andrews, in Fife) and we were having a picnic in the cathedral ruins when he asked me. Now we have just bought a house just outside of London, and I'm preparing to move down there, date set, dress bought....its all go!
