Too shy to ask anyone out

Too shy to ask anyone outby shyboy » Tue Aug 21, 2007 1:43 pm

Can anyone help me? I'm a 21 year old man and I have trouble asking any girl to go out with me. In fact I have trouble just speaking to girls. I'm really shy. All my best buds manage to pull girls no problem and they find it easy talking to them, but when it comes down to me I just can't do it.

What can I do? I'm scared I'll end up on my own all my life

You're only 21. Don't worry about being alone for the rest of your life! You have plenty of time to go out and meet "the one".

Just be yourself around girls, speak to them like you would any friend of yours, get to know them and then once you feel relaxed around them maybe ask them out? If they say no just use it as practise - the more you do it the more confident you'll feel x
I'm lovin' it xx UK gal and proud.

Seriously, if you have problems talking to girls in a dating context, go and do something whre you are in contact with a lot of girls and women in a social context, join some sort of group or study class, don't try to flirt or date - just talk to girls, until you feel more comfortable with us.
