England women

England womenby SarahGirl » Thu Sep 20, 2007 8:55 am

They are a great bunch - love the wing play Alex Scott and Rachel Yankey.

The goalie is good too, but I wish they would give her better cover at set pieces. Haven't they heard of putting a player on the goal line.

We play the USA next and they seem to have just done enough to get through without ever looking that strong, despite being the favourites - I can't work out if they are holding back or just not living up to their reputation.

If you find it painful to watch, Footy, then don't - leave it to those of us who like it!

well

wellby SarahGirl » Mon Oct 01, 2007 1:06 pm

I wasn't pleased when the USA girl elbowed the best UK defender in the face and didn't even get a free kick, I think that was a turning point in that game.

Much worse was the sending off in the next game, when the brazilian girl just dived and then celbrated getting the us girl sent off - that's cheating

So I was very pleased to see the germans win in the end!

Only one team didn't loose to the who played them
