what are your thought on this subject??
at the risk of being harsh i cant understand how they could go out for a meal and leave their chidren alone

Yeah, even if the apartment is only a stones throw away, I would certainly not leave my children (if I had any) on their own.

It's a shame really. God knows what's happened to that poor little girl.

I know couples who i would regard as good parents who have left their children alone if they 're not going to be far away (ie popping in next door), i think the mccanns must have been watched for someone to know the child was there

In my eyes the only thing they are guilty of is being naive, its quite common that parents leave there kids alone on a holiday resort even, they think they save there.

About they being guilty or not well time should learn this but its still innocent till proven guilty and that is not the thing here, they are marked as guilty without any good evidence and this is why Branson helps with that donation.
I think that its very unlikely that the parents have anything to do with Madeleine's disappearance, I don't say its impossible but like mentioned above in the story there are to many holes to get an direct involvement of the parent to have anything to do with the dead of their daughter. And the most important question is she dead???? So far no proves of that she is.

this is a bit of topic from the Madeleine case but makes you think.

In Bolivia a woman gave birth to twins ( 2 girls) and the doctor who did the delivery toke 1 away directly and gave 1 girl to the mother, she did not know she gave labour to twins. The wife of that doctor also worked in that hospital and they forged some papers and adopted that other girl as their daughter as she had been abandoned after birth.

Then 15 years later!!!!! the parents with their daughter walked into a restaurant and the girl saw her twin sister eating there with the doctor and his wife. The doctor saw the real parents walk in and he left that restaurant directly. Now that girl is back with her real family.

There were some rumours that people from the neighbourhood had seen a girl exactly like her in the same town sometimes, but how many times you see some one that is a lookalike.

I write this to say that time in these abduction/disappearances cases is relative. There has been more cases that kids are found after many years.

The worst thing is that we will never know what happened with those kids, that boy in Greece and that boy in Tenerife a few months before Madeleine went missing, no light have been shed on those.

i think it is all highyl suspicious, i dont believe that the McCanns are as innocent as they'd like people to think. but maybe that is my cynical mind at work. I definately think they had something to do with it. somewhere. If so, (even if not) they have to live with the fact that they were directly (or indirectly) responsible for Maddie's disappearance because THEY CHOSE to leave the kids alone while they went out for the evening.

I dont think they did anything to her, it did cross my mind at the start but surely if they had done anything the police would have found some evidence by now, which they haven't.

I think it is damaging the tourist business so the portugese police are trying to pin it on the english instead

Plus with the media surrounding them 24/7 how could they ever have hid a body?

don't want to start an argument, but haven't the police found Maddie's DNA in a car that the McCanns hired a couple of weeks after her disappearance? Isn't that the whole basis of them now being suspects?

Yeah but it doesn't necessarily mean that she was there. It could have fallen off clothes or toys or anything belonging to her that was in the car at any time

The Portugese police have been twisting things to make them sound more guilty. There was a whole list of things recently that they had said, with the truth stated afterwards, apparently lots of what they are releasing is complete fabrications

apparently the car was hired AFTER she dissapeared, but the way the parents were hounded by the press i cannnot imagine how they were able to dispose of the body

What a surprise....the DNA was the twins. I don't believe the parents did anything more than leave their kids alone. That, in itself, was a dreadfully stupid thing to do
