housewife? nah, not for me, ive found myself a wee part time job ;)

loving the new house and the fact that we have our own space now.

weddingh plans are going great, we have my dress and two best maid dresses in the wardrobe, next month I'll start on the flowers and wait till nearer Christmas to do the younger Bridesmaid and the flower girl dresses. We have changed our reception venue, so that should save us a heck of a lot of money :) apart from that, there's nothing much more we can do till nearer the time.
what about you? how are your plans going?xx

Oh thats great. where are you working now? Thats wonderful you are so happy in your new house.
We're getting on well with ours too. I mean the wedding haha. My mum takes over though, but that doesn't bother me, her taste is wonderful, and she knows what i like.
Where is your reception going to be? How many will be at the wedding. We have about 150 during the day but not sure yet how many will be there at night. That list keeps getting added to.
anyway keep me up to date with how things are going and i will do the same

erm, lets see.....where to start!

im working in a shoe shop at the mo, altho hoping to go to a call centre full time within the next few weeks - less active, you see.

the ceremony venue is staying the same but we are having the reception in a hall/bar my dad used to run bfore he died, now my twin sister runs it. that means we have to get caterers in, but on the plus side, it will be saving us about £4000 and we get to decorate the hall however we want it!

not sure about numbers yet, we can only have 60 or so at the ceremony, but am hoping for about 120 in the evening

kep me posted on yours xxxx

it's a two bed mid terrace about five minutes away from my sister's new house, and six door away from my best friend. it's a fab wee house and i wish i could stay inside all the time :)

we were out gardening yesterday, (i say we, i mean Brian was doing the work and i was supervising) then came in and both fell asleep!

we have a lovely big, fitted kitchen, a good sized living room and a study on the ground floor, then the landing has access to the loft, which has been converted, and two bedrooms (one with ensuite) and the bathroom. we are slowly decorating it, putting our mark on it.....i'm really happy here, it's a gorgeous house, ideal for the two of us :)

it's good to be back.....where has everyone been hiding?

Sounds perfect. I like your gardening style!!! That's what men are for
Decorating is so much fun. I bet it'll be fab when it's all done. Is Brian still working down south?

yeah, but it's not all bad. he was here for four days over the bank holiday, and the same at the end of the month. he's going to take a week off in June so we can attack the house and finish noff all the decorating, then its just a case of getting the carpet fitters in and buying furniture for the bedrooms :)

Sounds good to me....

Do you have all your colour schemes sorted out? I must admit I love looking through all those interior design magazines for ideas. I hear that black and white is very popular this year (according to my dad's friend who is a painter/decorator)....not sure if I'd be that brave though...

yeah, its all in hand, and funnily enough it's black and cream for the living room, with the accent colour being red. Our bedroom is chocolate and cream, the spare room is lilac and white, the hall is sort of apple green but paler, and the bathroom is a mint green colour. The kitchen is all wood panelled and slate floored so we don't have to do anything to that :) and the same theme carries on into the study - again, no work needed there!

Anyhoo - Brian is here and has just made me a cuppa, so I'm off for now

Hope everyone has a good night x

Sounds just gorgeous...remember to add some pics (if you can). I love the sound of the living room...very dramatic with the touch of red

We've got a few pics up already, a Jack Vettriano which looks very Art Deco, one of our local Main Street, which was commissioned for us, a beautiful scene of Loch Lomondside in the kitchen, and a picture of KT Tunstall in the hall :)

*forgot to mention there are lots of piccies of my dad and my twin sis up too!

I just realised that that read as if I was telling you to add pictures to the house....what I meant was, post some pics (on here) once it's all finished to let us see how lovely it is.....

I really should read over what I write!!

I'll post pictures as each room is decorated. Our first job though, is to transform the ensuite and make better use of the space (we are thinking walk in shower that utilises all of the space which is basically an old cupboard which the previous owners changed to a shower that only size zero's can get in!)

anyway, I've just hung two loads of washing out and now I have to finish getting ready for work. I'm only 10-2 today then off all day tomorrow (yippeeeeeeee)

catch you later

You could do a 'wet room' idea...not too sure how you do it but I have been in a couple of hotels where they had a wet shower area in the same space as the toilet and sink....they just hung a shower curtain across the room for you to close when showering

Did the previous owners have a toilet and shower in the space of a cupboard??? They must have been very small

yeah my mum and twin both have wet rooms, we have seen a shower cubicle that fit licely with the decor for the room so that's why we are going for that ;)

the previous owners only had a shower in there, and only used up about half the space available
