thanks all.

dad is out of hospital now, having palliative care at home. i have decided not to go see him unless he specifically asks for me (i can say with absolute certainty that isn't going to happen). i don't want to cause a dying man any more upset, or cause any more havoc or upset within his family.

i have decided that once i get somewhere to live, i will make a clean break from all of them, although i'm hoping that my twin and i can come to some arrangement and we won't go back to the way we were for so long.

Sometimes when the grim reaper's knocking at the door, people's perceptions can change. Is it worth sending a message via the sister you're close to saying you're thinking of him and would like to see him? Anyway, at least you have brian to lean on.

I've done that, umpteen times since April when he was diagnosed, but had no response to any of it

If you dont mind me asking, why dont your parents talk to you?

Why on earth would he not want to see you now of all times?
