Changing Pills

Changing Pillsby Emzi » Mon Sep 10, 2007 11:50 am

Hey everyone :)

I went to the docs this morning, I've been having all sorts of weird goings on lately (I won't bore you with the details!) so I went to see the doc, and he prescribed me a different Pill.

I've been on microgynon 30 for about 8 years now and he's prescribed me Logynon.

I have a couple questions regarding this:

1. I'm about 5 days in taking Microgynon and he's told me to leave 5 pills out of the Logynon and carry on with Logynon instead of Microgynon. This concerns me for a couple of reasons, but the main reason is I've just been reading about Logynon on tinterweb, and it says there's 3 different tablets in them - so which one do I take and which 5 do I leave.

And 2. Reading about Logynon it contains the same ingredients as Microgynon, only different doses. How is that effecitvely going to help what I've been going through if I'm taking the same stuff that's in Microgynon??

Thanks for your help in advance :) xxx

honey, i'm sorry i have no answers for you at the minute...one of my cousins is a doctor, and i'll be foning him tonight for advice to do with my condition (i want to only take my iron tablets at night now because they make me very nauseus) so i will throw these questions his way too

for what it is worth, i was on microgynon for 5 years and fell pregnant while i was taking it, then i stopped using contraception to try to get pregnant and it took two years, then when i left my ex husband i wasn't using anything until i was diagnosed with ME and they found i was anaemic, so i was put on Femodene to try to minimise periods. Then came the whole saga with Implanon, (grrr) which i have now had removed and am taking Femodette now (although i've to run the packets until my anaemia is sorted out) and will be coming off it altogether soon.

i hope you get sorted soon, hon

big hugs

Thanks hun, I'd appreciate that :) Although I have decided to carry on taking microgynon for this month then start the logynon a fresh next month. I don't want to mess my body up and more than it already is hehe :)

Thanks hun xx
